Thank You For the Days ..

By Fyael

What's in a Name?

Every year I have to look this plant up, I just haven't enough braincells still functioning to store Lysimachia clethroides from one year to the next.  Which is unfortunate as it is one of the most reliable and prolific plants in the garden and the butterflies and other flying insects love it.

The flower looks a bit like a buddleia, but with a funny little bend at the head. I learned when looking it up today that it's common name is Gooseneck loosestrife.  Somehow I think I can remember that one.

It's TM's birthday today.  Proper celebrations will be next week when the Kingston Branch will be up. We went to Abbotsford for lunch, just to mark the day, but half-way through poor TM lost his temporary filling.

So pudding was abandoned.  He rang the dentist but couldn't get an appointment today. He says it doesn't hurt.  Let's hope it stays that way till Tuesday when he goes to get the job completed.

Thank you once again BikerBear, for all you do for Flower Friday.
