Fair Day...

... in Bantry and it was heaving! It's Bank holiday too  so highly cosmopolitan. Buskers were out in force, mainly kids as it's the hols, and this young lad was doing a sedate but good version of the King of the Fairies. Elsewhere three tiny kids, they can only have been around six, werre belting out Raglan Road - a box in front announcing collecting for college!

Later it was back to Skibbereen for The Memory Orchestra. Another excellent concert but sadly no battle horns as hotly anticipated. 10 musicians, classical all playing arrangements of Irish traditional music and all from memory, and a proper conductor with dramatic flounces and floppy hair.

And coming home the annual quiz night hosted by Graham Norton was in loud and riotous swing and the roads were packed.

A bit of Luka Bloom and Raglan Road
