Hebden Bridge Townscape

Hangingroyd Road at its junction with Market Street (the main road - A646 - through Hebden Bridge).  This shows the typical over dwellings and under dwellings common in the town These are houses built in terraces with three to five storeys. The upper storeys face uphill while the lower ones face downhill with their back wall against the hillside. The bottom one or two storeys would be one house while the upper two to three storeys would be another.
