Lokta Paper

One of the things that is handmade in Nepal is Lokta paper. This is made from the Lokta bush which is found in the Himalayas. It is incredibly tough and durable paper and has been used for official government documents for centuries. The oldest surviving Lokta paper is thought to be between 1,500 and 2,000 years old!
