roots

We have had a very hot period over the past few weeks, the results of which can be seen in gardens and parks throughout this place I call home. It demonstrates just how much we need water to survive. Plants which have evolved to live through drought, obviously survived better than the plants which came in from more moderate climes. they needed external support to survive.
In the same way, when we are faced with pressure and trials, we have to rely on deep roots which connect us to springs of resiliance to sustain us until we get more rain. Sometimes we can be those who support others through personal drought, by offering support. But, just sometimes, we need to be willing to be supported. That takes humility.
