Tiny hoverfly

I bought some bright orange cone flowers today to put next to the magenta ones and while I was studying the new plant I saw a hover fly descend on the other plant. It didn't stay long enough to have everything really sharp, but I did get a shot with the hoverfly's eye in focus :-) Glad it did happen, because we spent most of today driving back and forth between the two houses as the gardener was felling another huge conifer tree that the new neighbours over there wanted gone :-(
The poor gardeners were doing this on what was probably one of the hottest day in this year, if all works out by tomorrow we're out of this heat wave ! See extra for the tree that is no longer now ...
