Greece Holiday Day 17

8/8/2018 - Text to follow and proper photos rather than video still collage.

Last beach day and messing about in boat. Actually needed to use up all the petrol in the outboard motor tank and thus it was full speed ahead and to make it interesting there was a bit of a swell out on the headland. Great fun getting the boat to jump right out of the water and hear the howl of the over-revving engine before the flat bottom of the boat banged back on to the water.

However, as can be seen in the two boat pictures it had consequences. On the left you will see a rowing oar, one of a pair, attached to the boats outer tube. On the right photo, it's no longer there having been knocked out of its secure fittings. At some point I did notice the loss and I did try searching for it but a) petrol was running out b) loss had probably been at the furthest point from land and should petrol run out, the oar I needed to get back to land was gone! One oar paddling was not an option.
