1638 leaves Rolvenden for Tenterden

A day in Wittersham Road signalbox, first for a few weeks. Had plenty of visitors to the box and station today. The Signal and Telegraph Manager, a few passengers and Susan and Kate who visited for the afternoon.

Equipment played up during the day, causing a few problems especially early on when I couldn’t get a token out for the section to Northiam. Somehow, that rectified itself before the first train.

Today’s blip is of the Pannier Tank leaving Rolvenden for Tenterden Light engine to pickup the first train of the day. I was on my way to Rolvenden signalbox to collect the token I use to open Wittersham box.
