Goodbyes, thank yous and added bonuses

A very busy day as holiday ones go. The last few hours this morning with our lovely visitors before I took them to the station where there train was in and waiting with the doors open a quarter of an hour before departure time. Bailey was very sad that they didn't come back with me and hopeful for a while that they might reappear, staking out the front door just in case. He was rewarded to a certain extent with the delivery of a thank you: roses, jam and jewellery - what more could I ask for. That was followed by the surprise arrival of the electrician to replace the ensuite lights. All of which was done in quick time and a bit of fuss for Bailey. The skip was finally removed whilst that was happening so no more competing for parking spaces on the street. And an added bonus of a resolution and some compensation from the holiday company. It's only taken three weeks and some carefully worded emails to get there. A pretty successful day all told.
