Between fen and mountains

Time for a rest

The Tet valley is an important migration route for the storks and at this time of the year they are on their way back to Africa or southern Spain.  The  journey takes around 26 days and most pass over the straights of Gibraltar, preferring not to travel across large expanses of sea.. Looking back to blips two years ago, they are a week earlier this year.  I wonder what they know. I have only seem them once in our valley but flocks of them can be seen at this time of the year having an overnight rest on rooftops or in fields. They are gone the next day. Today has been a quieter day with yoga in the morning and then a bit of shopping.  Friends have invited us out so there is no cooking to do.
