I'd been intending to blip from the book festival today as we're heading through for some culture. And to meet friends before braving the packed train home.
However, as you see, I shelved that idea when I was watching some fledglings on the bird feeder and noticed I wasn't the only observer. I think it's a female sparrowhawk but am happy to be corrected. She flew off so this photograph was taken from 4 or 5 gardens away with the Sony RX10 on its fullest zoom. It's a great camera but heavy. The last photograph I took of her was just as she flew down from her perch. Presumably to catch an unsuspecting creature.
Off to get ready for the train to Edinburgh now.
