Mama Mia....

It's a sad, but not unusual day for us, when the surgery phones to say that a patient has died.

Today, one of our favourite ladies let go of her tenous grip on life, and passed away at the wonderful age of 96.

I noticed that the locum has made a note of this in the pharmacy diary.

'Mrs X,' he has written, 'died this morning at 10.30am.'

And then he's added, helpfully, 'Please note that the patient no longer requires her medication.'

You don't say!!!

(This photo is of my mother, who also died on this day...36 years ago. She was only 51, but she packed a lot into life, and always had a smile for everyone. It was a joy knowing her.)
