The Lozarithm Lens

Calne (Monday 13th August 2018)

The theme for Mono Monday this week is 'Joint'. I had a quick look through the entries and was surprised and slightly disappointed not to see any herbal cigarettes with clouds of smoke billowing from the ashy tips.

I found these thistles beside Chaveywell Bridge in Castlefields Canal And River Park (which would be more accurately named Castlefields Dog Park, more's the pity).

I actually tried to focus on the little water snail, even using the rear LED screen with the snail zoomed to fill it, but I must have then very slightly moved the camera as I took the picture at very close range. Never mind, it isn't Tiny Tuesday, and the thistle heads are sharp.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Gwenno - Hy a skoellyas lyf a dhagrow (2018)
Gwenno, with whom I share a birthday, was a guest on Radcliffe & Maconie Without Maconie on this day. The album, Le Kov, is totally sung in Cornish, her first language, though born in Cardiff to a Cornish father and Welsh mother. Her previous solo album was sung in Welsh, in which she is also fluent.
