We are bananas

TUESDAY

Another hot and sunny day in London. A trip to the Imperial War Museum this morning. Lunch in the courtyard at Somerset House, a walk over to Covent Garden and then the LNER East Coast to Wakefield and then a 25 mile drive home on the M62

The Banana Bus photo was taken this morning on Kennington Road outside the IWM. It's one of five London buses featuring Chiquita banana designs. Apparently 300 taxis are also displaying the brand and cab drivers are handing out complementary bananas to customers.

The extra photo was taken early afternoon on the Strand and is a 1976 London Transport Routemaster bus which plies  Heritage Route 15 from Trafalgar Square to Tower Hill.

I was sorry to hear of yet another allegedly terrorist incident in Westminster this morning. It happened at the point where we finished the gaslight walk yesterday evening.
