An ordinary life....

Sleeping Beauty...

It's been a revolving door of visitors today.

First to arrive was Kirsteen the physio to see me.  The exercises she gave me for my knee last week are helping but it's still pretty tender and stiff.  She decided a deep tissue massage around the joint and some joint manipulation was the order of the day.  One word.  Ouch!  In between the moments of excruciating pain it did feel good.  Hoping to feel a difference tomorrow.

Kirsteen left and Alan's support worker Ashleigh arrived with partner Graeme and their 7 week old bundle of joy Lily.  She is a little sweetie.  I can't reminder the last time I cuddled such a tiny baby and it was lovely.  She snuggled up on my shoulder making her tiny baby snuffly noises and her alert blue eyes looking all around.  You can see her in a more alert pose in extras.

Ashleigh is looking fantastic and thoroughly enjoying being a mum.  She's a natural.  Alan was delighted to see her and is even more delighted that she will be back on Sunday for his birthday pool party.

They left and not long after the doorbell rang.  We were expecting Jamie the Architect who was coming to check that all the snagging work had been completed, but to our surprise it was Cameron, who used to work with Alan, who was handing in a birthday card for Alan for tomorrow.  He came in and we chatted and had a bit of a catch up.  He then went through to Alan's sitting room and spent half an hour with Alan, who was absolutely delighted to see him.

Cameron then left and five minutes later Jamie arrived.  He checked all the snagging items on his list and they all received a tick.  Completed.  So, almost four years to the day from Jamie's first ever visit, the job is now completely signed off!  That'll be that then.

Early dinner then more planning for Alan's pool party on Sunday.  Oh and preparing his card and cake for tomorrow.  Can't believe he will be 22!
