Newcastle (again)

There's on old photo in our hotel room, showing this view of the Tyne Bridge.  So this morning I attempted my version, from what I think was the original view point.

We met up with David C and his editor and Dollydoug and spent a pleasant couple of hours in The Sage, just chewing the blip-fat. After a quick lunch Anniemay and I went off to see an animated film called Bridges (about bridges, funnily enough).

Then to the Baltic for a couple of exhibitions.  We still had a bit of energy left, so crossed the Millennium Bridge and wandered along the Quayside.  Anniemay got a bit star-struck when we spotted a film crew and Vera herself (UK detective series in case you don't now).

We love this city - it's our favourite place in the UK.  Although it seems to have got a lot steeper since we were last here.  So more rest stops/blip opportunities.  See extras.

ps.  Now back at the hotel.  There's a late-night sound and light show on the river this evening, so if it doesn't rain and we can make the effort, we'll have a nosey.
