My day

Today we drove to Sydney to pick up our van which had been in for a few things to be completed at the dealers. On the way home we stopped at historic Hartley. We rarely stop here but we needed somewhere we could park the van and Isbi wasn’t at home for a quick cuppa at her place.

The photo of the “photographers point” was interesting. This funny car has 16 people in it....goodness. When Bob was 2 he had his photo taken here with his family, it is so cute. He has no recollection of the visit but we have a copy of the old photo somewhere.

This was originally a major stopover between Sydney and Bathurst, the first big inland centre from the 1830s. Now Hartley has a coffee shop and a few nice old stone buildings.

It is 7 years since we lost our Dad. I think of him often.
