Schagen

Every Thursday in the summer is a parade in Schagen.
Since 65 years(!) they show the way of live in about 1900. (see second extra). They also perform traditional dances and poems in Frisian dialect.
This week there was also a competition:
On a way around the church, 26 very different carriages tried to get smal rings  with a stick while passing it. It was not easy and a lot of fun for the crowed. It made no matter if it was an impressive Frisian horse (main blip) or a tiny Shetland pony (first extra)
Here you can see some impressions of the parade.

(It was a cold, windy and dull day and it strated to rain during the competition. Such a pity, but for me that's typically dutch :-D  )
