Kath's Journal

By Kathb

A walk round Dingle town and another trip to the book shops today. This is a picture of a pub window complete with dust and reflections. Many of the pubs have similar decorated windows,

The first extra is a photo of a little café, close to the harbour and the second extra is a photo I took for my sister. She has a small camper van and these gigantic outdoor washing machines, situated in a supermarket carpark, would be ideal for her.

Later in the day we went out of town to visit Kilmalkedar Church. I got a picture of the sundial and Ogham Stone – third extra. Ogham is the earliest form of writing in Ireland. It dates to around 4th century A.D. and was used for about 500 years. The Ogham alphabet is made up of a series of strokes along or across a line. It is sometimes referred to as the "Celtic Tree Alphabet"
