The Kings Theatre

To see a particularly racy modernised version of The Beggars Opera with very scantily clad girls and much snorting of cocaine. (not really you understand). I was quite surprised. The narrative and songs had been  somewhat but not completely updated from the original 1728 John Gay version which left a bizarre mix of  rough and smooth. A trailer example is here.  Entertaining
