Red Squirrel

We finished our packing – or repacking and headed off to Ardrossan to catch the ferry to Arran for our annual visit.  We made good time to Ardrossan, even though we had to deal with two diversions due to road closures.  We parked up and went to the terminal to buy some drinks and even though it was sunny – it was really chilly.  It was at that point that both TT and I became worried that we had brought the wrong clothes – as we were still on Dorset weather.

We had a lovely sailing across to Brodick – so bright and clear – but breezy.  Once in Brodick we popped into the co-op for provisions before heading off to our holiday home for the weekend where we met up with friends sunning themselves in the garden, as it was shaded from the cool breeze.  They used our arrival to serve drinks – it would have been rude not to!  Later, BB went with L and D back into Brodick to find something for tea while TT and I went for a walk along the coast.  We had a lovely meal, cooked by D, aided by L and then a lovely evening catching up with everyone.

I also spent a long time just watching the cheeky (greedy) squirrels at the feeder!
