Phlox

This is a wild phlox, I believe. Which is to say, it's growing along side the road on the wrong side of a fence - the other side of which is a paddock with horses in it rather than a flowerbed. So, while it could be a garden escapee, I think it's wild. I think it's phlox divaricata ~ wild blue phlox.

It has been slightly fartnarkled using the "dry brush" filter in Photoshop.

As you may be able to tell, today was a singularly uninspired photo day. It happens! There was a sweet rabbit on our walk - not far from this phlox - but he was out of focus. The piece of grass in front of his face was nicely focussed, of course... Sigh.
