Anglezarke

Saturday 18th August 2018

Huddsbird very kindly agreed to helping me plan the next walk for the walking group. I decided on one I had done before around Anglezarke reservoir, but walking it the other way round. It is many years since I last did the walk. We also added in going round Upper Rivington reservoir as well. It was just under six miles in total. It is a good job we planned it as we did go wrong around one section of Anglezarke, the lower water level had resulted in what looked like a path but we soon ran into difficulties and retraced our steps to find the main path.

Huddsbird remembered that we used to say that the Great House Barn teashop had the best flapjack. We went to test it out and found out it still does!

Half way round the walk we suddenly realised we had made a mistake ... we had forgotten Physivic! Oh dear, we had a disappointed bear at home on our return! :-)

After the evening meal Huddsbird had to return home. A lovely 24hrs together.
