40th Celebrations

A special event today: a gathering in the local hall to celebrate the 40th birthday of the craft co-operative which runs the Workshop and Gallery.

The hall looked lovely, with crisp white tablecloths on round tables and on each a beautiful vase of garden flowers. So pretty!

There was a wonderful spread for our lunch: a table laden with savoury dishes, one for luscious desserts, another with a selection of cheeses and biscuits.

My blip is of the fish table. The salmon, artistically presented complete with cucumber twizzles, took pride of place. I witnessed its arrival. It was a 2 woman job to carry it in on its board, which had to be held strictly horizontal, for fear it slipped off. There were sighs of relief when it reached the table safely!
