Vimto Park sculpture

I stole away from the office for 10-15 minutes at lunch and sat at a bench at Vimto Park and this was my view :)

The statue was installed in 1992 and shows a Vimto bottle surrounded by the fruits and herbs that are used to make the drink. It marks the place where Vimto was first created at Granby Row in Manchester. It was originally sold as a health tonic and was called Vim Tonic, but the name was shortened in 1912 and it was registered as a cordial in 1913.
