Lockers

Spotted this little corridor while walking through Ueno this morning. The art-deco tiles/locker combo caught my eye. Had to step out of the way for a customer to walk down towards the sign. He kept looking back to see if I was taking photos of him.

Ueno is a pretty cool shitamachi place that is well-known for it's early doors at the bars, but people were mad for it today. By 10.30 am people were already sitting outside with beers, by 11 am a few of the smaller bars were full, and one had a group of salarymen sitting outside swigging hot sake. I actually stopped to check the time because I suddenly thought that it was much later than what it was!
