anonymous art

Caitlin and I went to the Zorlu Centre for lunch, and noticed this large wound thread art work on a wall by the lifts. No title, artist, explanation....  the whole work (of which the photo shows just 50%) is really quite large - about 150cm (or more) square.  Hundreds and hundreds of pins and threads creating these sympathetically ethnic shapes... so interesting - both in texture and harmony, and so frustrating not to know the artist or anything about it, unobtrusively and unceremoniously hung in a side corridor ....  Extra pic shows a detail from the other half of the piece.  Must have taken many, many hours to create. Well, to whoever the artist may be, your work was noticed today by Caitlin and me.
