"I got something for you.."

This is what the hubby said when he came back from walking the dog this morning.   He pulled a blue jay feather out of one pocket and then three green seed pods.    I got excited because the seed pods are the "maypops" seed pods from the wild passion flower that is growing along the road down past our house.   

I will keep these pods in the sunshine hoping they will pop open as they dry out and have seeds that I can plant for next year.   Passion flowers are so pretty!   There used to be so many growing along the ditch but not anymore.   I need to make that walk so I can photograph the flowers that might be blooming!  

 Sometimes a piece of nature is the best present!
