Stuck (Super)fast

I had to take MrQ to the hospital this morning for a blood test. This is what faced us at our gate. Lots of machinery blocking our exit and beyond that a red plastic fence. Fibre-optic cables are being laid along our lane. The work has been going on for ages. There has been a temporary set of traffic lights in position to the right of my image for a long time which is causing terrible hold ups. People get irate at having to sit in the traffic jam for so long and rev their engines alarmingly when the light changes to green. The bass notes of their ICE systems make my eardrums pulse. They also scream and shout at one another and sound their horns. It wakes Ollie and me at night. One redeeming feature is that the Eastern European workers are very friendly and polite.
