The death of an old friend

This is the view from the road as I'm about a mile or so from my home. This tree has provided me with several Blips, not to mention a few nice monos that's I've sold for a decent price.

Sadly it is no more. The upper shot shows what is what was like before, and the lower illustrates its sad demise. A storm last year loosened a few boughs, and the farmer had no choice but to yield the chainsaw.

I hope you all have a relaxing weekend. I'm off now for a run round the football pitch - who knows, I might even get to kick the ball...
