Meeting Friends

L and I started our day at a Book Festival Workshop - Map Your Reading Experience. The task was to draw a 'map' of the experience of reading a specific book. Rather than a geographical map, the idea was to draw a tree of the experience - not so much the 'story' of the book but my own experience in reading it. I chose Georges Perec's Life A User's Manual while L did Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. We ended up with two very different drawings! Then we went along to Charlotte Square to meet my friend J for lunch and then ended up hanging out there all afternoon with her, which was very pleasant. Another friend S (also a blipper) dropped by briefly for a drink between appointments - good to see her again.
