Loch an Eilean

Back at Loch an Eileen in the evening for a walk, we turn up with ulterior motives. It was a serious 'Famous Five' moment as we changed and slipped into the clear, fresh waters and swum out to explore the island castle.

The temperature of the water was not too bracing and apart from very slippery rocks and a few submerged branches, E swum right round the island and back to the shore.

We have been visiting the area for over 35 years now and always thought about this but never acted. But now it is a magical moment that is never to be forgotten.
