The cloud forest is humming

This little guy was on guard and was determined to make sure we weren't anywhere near his flowers.

Helliangelus amethysticollis
(not in the best plumage at the moment - hence no amethyst throat)

Extra is looking back up the trail leading down from the high pass into the heavily forested valley.
