Tourist Town

Across to the boat club for showers and then, suitably perfumed, off to meet Red Ron at the Pleasance to see the Vanishing Man, which despite my pal Roger’s warning (“worst thing ever”) was entertaining enough until it ran out of steam.
Then a sit at some cafe on the Southside to hear his news from Forfarshire. As he’s one of the SK’s auldest pals, I was on the bestest behaviour and kept my boorish tendencies well in check.
A sit in Princes St Gdns, and then to see the New Statesman editor, Jason Cowley at the book fest. He was so impressive, thoughtful, articulate and erudite that I think I actually may be him. He even mentioned football !
Home for the most triffic three course meal - it’ll have to keep me going awhile...
