Mary Barbour sculptures, Govan, Glasgow.

In September 2015 five sculptors were shortlisted to produce a maquette to convey their vision of the feisty Govan campaigner for fair rents at the start of the 20th century - Mary Barbour.  Showings of the five maquettes resulted in the public voting for the concept of the young Scottish sculptor Andrew Brown.  The complex piece was unveiled this year in the new square precinct in Govan. I liked the juxtaposition of the boy in black heading out of the frame as if he is a sculpture come to life!
The extra photo is a composite showing the sculptures in more detail.
