Globe Artichoke

This enormous plant is now in its 2nd year and has just produced its thistle like flower. Last year I chopped off the head and it then produced a flower which I see I blipped on 26th August .

I have probably left it too late to eat but never having eaten artichoke I will just enjoy looking at it !
