Festival

This weekend sees the end of the week-long Kirkintilloch Canal Festival.

Had only a short time to visit the festivities on Saturday, but there was certainly a lot going on. The Seagull Trust and the Forth & Clyde Canal Society were offering short boat trips along the canal, while there were a whole range of different activities taking place in and around Southbank Marina in Kirkintilloch. There was certainly a buzz about the place, helped no doubt by the fine weather.

I was amused by this view of the swans being quite unperturbed and unhurried as the Gypsy Princess approached, albeit at low speed.
