Mantis Religiosa

We came across this praying mantis whilst cutting back some vegetation in the garden. The ones in Europe are known as mantis religiosa. They are quite long at about 7 or 8 cm and well camouflaged. They are also a bit tricky to photograph close up when amongst the vegetation.
We think this is a male as they tend to be green.
