Burniston and District Annual Hortcultural Show

A dry but dismal day with a cool wind.

After an early lunch we went to the local Village Hall to view the exhibits at the Annual Show. It was held indoors this year as it was cancelled due to waterlogged parking area last year. Having been told by a realiable source! it appears that after last year's cancellation the Committee have had a tiff - some wanted it to go ahead and others not.

So it was held indoors this year. Sounds a bit like Midsomer! Hope we don't have to call for Barnaby!

Unfortunately it was advertised in the Yorkshire Post as being held in the usual field and I did give directions to a couple in a car but saw them later at the Show.

Anyway a selection of produce and an old Tractor which Alan says is only 3 years older than him!

We had a wander and then into the tearoom for tea and cake.

It was a little disappointing, possibly through the lack of correct advertising or a sign of the times for a small village!
