Loss of Balance

Had a message from Kitty this morning: inviting us to watch her run in a second fell race at Hebden in Upper Wharfedale as part of their sports day.
Didn’t need asking twice so even though we were in Lancashire when we got the message we abandoned our plans and drove straight there.
Her first race on Saturday had been a spur of the moment decision and l don’t think she had any idea what it entailed so she just followed the other runners and ended up coming third girl.
Today was a different matter, for a start she walked the course beforehand with her Grandy (Mr P) and he talked her through what to do and when to put in the extra effort.
The competition was much stronger today so we thought it would be more testing.
She set off last on her first race but today she listened for the starting whistle.
Well she ran her socks off but also employed tactics and ended up second girl.( see extras)
My main shot is the losing side of the tug of war event !
