Farewell to Victoria

It's Monday. It must be moving on day. It was an end to our excellent long weekend with W and her family. W and her partner L dropped us at Melbourne airport for the short flight to Adelaide. We passed through Castlemaine, where Mr A's and W's great grandmother was in the Castlemaine Benevolent Asylum for many years before and after the second world war. There wasn't really much we could figure out, but W is going to try and get hold of some hospital records.

There was, however, some rather good street art in some reused industrial works just opposite the Botanical Gardens, so that supplied a blip.

On arrival at Adelaide airport, we made swift time by taxi to K's, where he was waiting for us. After a tour of the property, we settled down with a cup of tea, which eventually turned into a review of some excellent wines from his cellar and some barbecued skewers of beef, plus salad, after C had returned from work. The evening ended with a session in the hot tub and I even managed a few short lengths of their freezing swimming pool to offset the heat and bubbles.

These will be some low key days that will allow me to catch up with some work, and Mr A to kick back a little.
