Net-winged beetle

Thrilled to find this scarce Net-winged beetle, Platycis minutus, at Dancersend Nature Reserve yesterday. It's about three years since I last recorded one and shows that our dead-wood habitat at the reserve is in good shape. It is only about 7mm long, but luckily not one of the very flighty species (for photographs).
