Bald Eagle

Today L and I visited the 'World of Wings' out at Cumbernauld ... a first visit for both of us.

Wonderful flying displays and close up views of many birds of prey and others. I've seen many bird flying displays but never before have I seen a Kookaburra showing his flying skills.

The Bald Eagle is the only eagle unique to North America. When flying the bird rarely flaps its wings but soars instead, holding its wings almost completely flat. The Eagle has a wonderful yellow beak and yellow legs.
