Rare spot

This large wooden duck was perching a neighbour's bin. Note the distinctive colourful plumage and substantial size. Judging by the age marks I'd say that this is an older male who has probably lost his mate. I'm not going to give details of where I spotted this specimen as we don't want twitchers parked up and down the lane and traipsing round the gardens.
