Trains on a school day! Down to Tenterden for a mooch and a cup of tea. In the Extras you'll find a candid of the Station Master who sat and had a chat about the railway and spending time in the driving cab of a Javelin with his son (who drives the high-speed route from London to Kent).

Now for the history bit. This engine was built in Leeds in 1953 and is a Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST which was designed for shunting. It was built for the War Department. Here the train is attached to the front so the engine will reverse to Bodiam and come back to Tenterden facing forward - a shot of that happening in the extras. The other engine in the extras is a GWR pannier tank built in 1951.
