Antlion

I learned something today.  This is not a Damselfly, it's an Antlion.  We found this little insect on our kitchen counter looking a bit confused.  It must have flown in the back door one of the many times it was opened for Piper's ins and outs.  After several photos, I coaxed it onto my finger and I took it outside.  It didn't want to fly at first but then it took off.  I searched its ID and found out some interesting information.  If you don't feel like reading about it, you can check out the extra to see its lifecycle.

I am grateful that we don't have to go to see the specialist tomorrow for Pipersdad to follow up on his blood test.  However, the result wasn't what we were hoping for so he will need to have an MRI next month.  More about that later...no use thinking about it now. :-)
