Birthday Bash

So today was my 23rd birthday, a fact I almost forgot amongst the mayhem of preparing for Rwanda. Just returned from a curry with family, during which the food was delicious but the service comically hopeless, which actually made for quite a fun evening. Other highglights included: loading the Kindle with 6 months worth of books, and the visit of my sister and her husband-to-be, and the watching of daytime movies. All in all, it felt a little Christmassy.

The photo is of the timeless family tradition of cake (in the shape of the Rwandan flag) singing (out of tune) and awkward photography (awkward). I enjoyed the way black-and-white makes the candles look like one big light being brought forth by Dad.
