Gone-to-seed Artichoke

Long past its best.  The perfect image for the state I'm in this evening.

Everyone left today. The Burleyites this morning, the soon-to-be Surbitonians this afternoon, accompanied by TM.  He is going to be doing a bit of fixing-up at the new house, prior to them moving in next Friday.  I'm going down on Wednesday (if I can catch the cats and get them to the cattery). 

So I've had a day of stripping beds and washing, washing, washing. I counted 20 + towels on the line at one point.  Thank goodness for a dry, warm and windy day.

Will be catching up with journals in the next day, I hope. It will be an opportunity to sit down!
