Sails

This is a beautiful piece of tapestry in St Magnus Cathedral, coloured by the light shining through stained glass. It symbolises the friendship between Orkney and Norway as though a sail, carrying old ties and new patterns of expressing them.

I needed some down time today and often find myself in here if I come this way. Just a few minutes of blessed peace.
