Home Sweet Home

#1Daughter and OilMan zone out after moving every piece of living room furniture (including a cement coffee table) at least five times. Ozzie wore himself out getting in the way. He also had to catch up on his sleep since he decided that 1:30 this morning was the perfect time to get up. They are in the only corner of the house that doesn't have at least five boxes in it. However #1 and I  did make the bed, find the towels and take care of the carefully wrapped dishes in a box marked "dirty dishes from the dishwasher".

It rained all night and was still raining this morning, but when the three darling guys from the moving company arrived with the truck at about 10am, it had stopped, and we were both ready and waiting for them. I had to laugh when one of them asked if we had any soap so he could wash his hands before he touched our mattress covered with dog hair! They moved some things more than once until we were too embarrassed to ask them to move the same item for the third time. I know they were laughing at us when it took us over an hour and three moves to decide on locations for two desks.

Our wonderful realtor came back with platters of cold cuts, fruit and cheese and desserts. The 3dgs  especially liked the chocolate mousse in little chocolate cups....

There is a horrible contraption that passes for a kitchen faucet but looks like it it came from a morgue. That might have to come out tomorrow....

It's a lot more fun to put an empty house together than to tear apart a beloved one despite the chaos and exhaustion.
